Why our cosmic issues stop at eight copies unless you insist
A numbered NFT comic is still a comic. Edition size changes how a Guardians one-shot sits in a UK collection, and eight has become our default for a reason.
Our default edition for a cosmic-issue NFT comic is eight. Not because eight is a sacred number in the Guardians of the Galaxy books, but because eight copies still feel like a short box. You can name the other holders. You can lend a proof copy without pretending the issue is scarce in a way it is not.
We have minted a single private Contraxia issue, and we have agreed a forthcoming Milano galley story at twenty-five because the commissioner wanted a small reading circle in Glasgow. We have not minted a thousand. A thousand turns the comic into a poster run with a ledger attached.
UK collectors who already hold Marvel house NFT comics often arrive with edition numbers in the hundreds. That is a different object. Our sittings treat those as a parallel shelf: readable, tradeable, not the same as a Glascote one-shot. We will not pretend our eight sit above a house drop in some cosmic ranking. They sit beside it, with different paper.
If you want a larger edition, say so at the brief sitting. The price changes because colour corrections and provenance cards multiply. The story does not get better because more wallets hold it.
