They argue about silent pages. That is the point.
These notes come from people who sat at Nith Street, reserved a number, or opened a folio next to an NFT comic. Length varies because sittings and commissions are different kinds of afternoon.
Maeve would not let me keep the Milano on every splash. We lost two weeks arguing about a silent page on Contraxia, and that page is the one I reread. The NFT mint arrived with a proof copy that still smells like the press.
Ilya made me put Cover A of our Knowhere one-shot behind the variant in the ledger. I had them the wrong way round for a year. The sitting note is blunt about a Rocket issue I overpaid for; that stung, and it was useful.
The dossier for Mum’s edition of eight sat in the same envelope as the paper proof. The cover family tree finally explained why her variant had a different yellow on Groot’s chest.
I reserved number 3 on the Kyln one-shot and collected the proof on Nith Street the Friday after mint. The reservation card was a scrap of board with rubber-stamp ink. That is exactly the tone I wanted.
The folio sheets are heavier than I expected. Drax’s red on paper is duller than on the NFT comic; Ilya warned me, and I still notice it every time I open the board. I keep the folio on the shelf anyway.
Extended: the Contraxia private mint
Priya Desai commissioned a 24-page Contraxia off-season issue as an edition of one. The brief named Star-Lord and a memory of Yondu, and forbade the Milano until the last tier. Two weeks disappeared while Maeve and Priya fought over a silent page. The NFT mint is a single copy. The eight-sheet folio lives in Leicester. Priya still writes when a balloon in the galley feels too neat; we do not reopen the mint.
Extended: a Birmingham ledger
Owen Hale arrived with twelve cosmic-issue NFT records and Cover A filed first in every title. Ilya reversed Knowhere Yellow in the ledger and wrote that a Rocket issue had been bought above any sitting we would have advised. Owen kept the sitting note in the same envelope as his proof copies. He has not asked us to sell anything for him, which is correct: sittings are not a shop floor.
