Knowhere yellow, and why Cover B still sells first
On cosmic-issue NFT comics, the variant with the quieter palette often leaves the wall before the loud Cover A. Here is how we mix that yellow in Glascote.
Cover A on a Guardians of the Galaxy cosmic-issue NFT is usually the loud one: magenta nebula, a crew in a V, the Milano catching a rim light. Collectors still write to us asking why Cover B, the flatter Knowhere yellow, is the sheet that leaves Nith Street first.
Yellow in our house mix is not a pure lemon. We cut it with a grey pulled from the newsprint-cream stock we use for proof copies, then sit a thin rust in the shadows under Gamora’s jaw. On a screen the NFT comic looks almost plain. On the lightbox, next to Cover A, the yellow holds Groot’s ink weight without fighting the balloons.
When we minted Knowhere Yellow No. 1 as an edition of eight, six buyers named Cover B on the reservation card. The two who took Cover A both said they wanted the nebula for a wall, not for rereading. That split is now part of how we brief a variant: the second cover should survive a table lamp, not a shop window.
If you are commissioning, bring a printed swatch if you already care about a yellow. We will still remix it against the interiors. A cosmic issue that cannot be reread under kitchen light is only a poster with page numbers.
